About Us
Ogden BancShares, Inc. is an S corporation that is owned by local investors. We provide a wide range of services to individuals, businesses and other financial institutions through our banking and non-banking affiliates and subsidiaries.
On June 2, 1995 Ogden BancShares, Inc. purchased City State Bank in Ogden. On June 7, 1999, Ogden BancShares, Inc. opened Community Bank of Boone, and on January 2, 2001 they opened Ames Community Bank.
Unlike many bank holding companies each of our affiliate banks operates with their own independent bank charter and a high degree of autonomy. We believe that banking is a local business, and we allow local managers and executives broad latitude in serving their markets. At the same time, we gain efficiencies from centralizing many operations and sharing products, skills, and successes among affiliates.
